The architects and other urban professionals play a vital role in designing and implementing any urban development. Thus to make it Sustainable, Inclusive and Resilient the support from political leaders, local government authorities and private sector investment partners is inevitable. So a synergy must be established among the professionals and Local authorities.
The networking event will be a roundtable discussion with high-level discussants and age and gender balanced panel including political leaders and member from states, business communities, professionals, and experts. The round table would be moderated by an experienced high-level professional, who will initiate multilevel interaction among the parties and the audience. This is to portray the priorities and identify the fundamental works for the Professionals, local authorities and investment partners to develop and understand the need for persuasions and commitment to the New Urban Agenda and sustainable urbanization for the next ten years. To secure a long-term policy of synergy, the panel will scrutinize the questions. How the local Government can develop their capacity in the implementation of NUA and enhance a long-term change in urban development policies. How to deal with the Climate change challenges in the process of rapid urbanization and disaster risk management in informal sector in both developed and developing world, assess the impact of political will in the implementation process of NUA at Local and global level, how the financial mechanisms could be developed to achieve a quality based urban solutions.
