During the past 35 years, as a professional planner, project manager, academic and adviser, Brian Roberts has been involved in a wide range of urban and regional planning, urban management, institutional capacity building, land management and administration and economic development projects in 30 countries. He has held senior positions with the United Nations Centre for Human Settlements, the Queensland state government (Australia), two academic institutions and the consulting industry. Roberts currently works at the Canberra Urban and Regional Futures (CURF), University of Canberra. He does research in Business Administration, Socioeconomics and Economic Geography. His current project is 'The New Urban Agenda needs to recognize a future of city-to city networks and trade.'
