Nadine Bitar is a thought leader on sustainable development and future cities focusing on livable and prosperous communities and Chief Placemaking Officer at placemaking.me since 2013.
Prior to that, Mrs Bitar worked in the public sector as an city planning advisor to municipalities and local authorities in United Arab Emirates and lead regional planning and urban design teams in International and local firms. In these roles, She has lead and participated in the urban planning of 35 large scale flagship communities and mixed use developments in the Middle East , Africa and South East Asia region.
She lectures on sustainable design and urbanism at the American university in Dubai .Mrs Bitar has a diploma in innovation management from Insead business school, completed Smart Cities executive program by Harvard Graduate school of Design program and obtained her Masters in Architecture -Urban Design from the American University of Beirut, currently pursuing a master in public policy for sustainable development at Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government.
