Nicolas Buchoud is a French urban development and sustainable metropolitan systems expert. He has recently been involved in large-scale metropolitan projects such as Le Grand Paris or the Greater Moscow, working on contemporary urban challenges globally. He has a long-standing experience in urban development strategies and negotiations, crossing urban regeneration and urban innovation, including civil society involvement in complex decision-making processes.
He is the founder of Renaissance Urbaine (2006), an urban R&D company based in Paris, bringing strategic counselling to public and private stakeholders in the fields of urban development and sustainable investment policies and projects. He is graduated in public law and political science (MA), planning and urban development (MA), and XVIIth century Chinese history (MA), from Sciences Po and La Sorbonne.
